I was referred to this lawyer in regards to a divorce.  I was not informed of  the
consultation fee,  but I did not ask either.  I asked the lawyer if he deals with cases in
Clackamas county.  He informed me over  the phone that he did. 

I went and met with him
for a consultation.  During that consultation he informed me that he files all the paper work
himself  and charges for travel time.  The Clackamas county court is 1 hour each way. 
 

During the consultation he did nothing but tell stories about cases that were not relevant
to me.  He gave me the paper work to fill out for filing, but the paper work he gave me
was for the wrong county.  After reading the paper work I come to realize he charges $285
a hour.  And he insists on filing the paper work himself.  So just for him to take the
paper work to the courts was going to cost me $570. 

Well needless to say, I'm not
interested in his services.  I have now received a bill for $570 for the office conference
and intake file.  Which was for the wrong county.  I had someone call his office to find out what the
consultation fee was and they were told $285.  That is all that I am willing to pay.
