I have two complaints one I doubt I can do anything about because I have already paid and the trial is already over. Im either really horrible at picking lawyers out or most of them are crooks. I think the latter is true. I went through a divorce a few  months ago. paid my $3500 he wanted up front and was told that would be enough for the divorce, maybe a bit more. I told him I didnt have more than that to get a divorce. I kept track of phone calls and minutes. when I got his bill $3500 was ate up the first few days. he looked up hours of needless information on my husbands lawyer that didnt help my case at all. If i called or they called me they would put me on hold for periods of time and I would get billed for that along with minutes that I was not on the phone with them for. I even have a bill on there that wasnt even mine, was for some church that obviously wasnt suppose to be on my bill. still on there.  I believe I owe $4500 still that I am refusing to pay and I know !

that he will garnish my wages for it. I want proof that he did all that i was billed for. I know he billed me for minutes that did not exist but how do you prove that? I was sent the same paperwork over and over and at one point I told his secretary that I wanted my husband to provide a life insurance policy for the kids and she screamed at me on the phone to "just sign the damn papers Michelle".  I was discusted and broke. I signed papers and now I have this huge bill hanging over my head for which I dont think I owe all of. he is ripping me of legaly and I feel that he needs to take off the money that he over billed me for. I have no respect for lawyers or the legal system. I would like some help on this matter.I have had two experiences with two different lawyers in my life and I will never ever hire another lawyer again no matter what.  One was just a joke in the courtroom and the other one just plain ripped me off. I feel this complaint is legitimate I put my trust in h!
